Originally home of the 369th Infantry also
known as the “Harlem Hellfighters” – an African-American
brigade, Hom + Goldman Architects provided design services for
the conversation of this historic Armory into a community sports
facility. The renovated facilities house six indoor tennis courts,
including two convertible for basketball or volleyball, with
new seating and lighting systems. Other spaces include classrooms,
lounge areas, office space, a computer/multipurpose room, elevator
and ADA upgrades.
