Point Youth Opportunity Center
This center is the most desirable youth destination
on the historic West Point campus. The Architects worked closely
with the Landmark Commission in Albany to provide a building
that would be compatible with the historic campus. The exterior
is deliberately low-key while the interior is an explosion of
colors and whimsical elements (e.g. the columns with sheet-rock
canopy drums.) Woven into this "forest" are the classrooms,
a full-size gymnasium, offices and a cafeteria.
