completed programming, schematic design and design development for the renovation
and extension of the existing union. The enlarged facility provides renovated
and new ballrooms, multi-purpose student recreation areas, food facilities, student
organization space, conference center and retail stores. A further complication
was that the building operated at high capacity during the construction. This
is the central campus University Union, as well as the most complex and most used
facility on campus.
